Dr. Shahzad Ahmad is the first endocrinologist to perform an RFA procedure in the USA and has successfully completed over 1000 such procedures with a reported adverse effect profile of less than 0.3%.

He also performed the first successful RFA for a toxic thyroid nodule, medullary cancer recurrence, and parathyroid adenoma ever done in North America.

Dr. Ahmad is a founding member of NASOIE, and his work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
