We're proud to share that Dr. Shahzad Ahmad's latest research has been published in Clinical Medicine Insights: Endocrinology and Diabetes. The study looked at radiofrequency ablation (RFA), a minimally invasive, needle-based procedure, as a treatment option for select patients with low-risk papillary thyroid cancer, performed right in the outpatient clinic. For eligible patients, this can mean avoiding surgery altogether while still effectively treating the cancer, with a quicker recovery and no incision.
